The Storm
Objective #2: Lower drawbridges for squad mates
Objective #3: Proceed to SW entrance
You and your squad mates are airlifted into a valley outside Avernus. Your squad mates will be with you through this level and the next (unless they get killed, and they are very good at that). They really aren't worth much other than drawing enemy fire away from you. Follow the valley around and blast any enemy MCAs, tanks, or troops you find. At the other end of the valley is a bunker with a door on it. This is the distillation plant. Go on in, but be ready for an enemy MCA at the bottom of the ramp once you are inside.
This switch opens some doors that will enable you to lower the drawbridges. You cannot drown in an MCA, so feel free to stay underwater as long as you like. Walk through the door that opens when you walk over the switch and jump up on the other side. Hang a left and go up the lift.
At the end of the hallway is this switch which will lower the drawbridges, enabling your squad mates to follow. This distillation plant is a lot of fun because there are a lot of things that blow up when you shoot them. It's very cathartic. Some of the things that blow up (especially crates and vehicles) have various power-ups hidden inside. You will pick up a juggernaut from one of the MCAs you kill (namely Samantha Sternberg, whom you will encounter two more times in Shogo). Don't waste it on this level, you'll need it later.
Jump down into either one of these pools and follow it down to an ultra power surge power up (looks like a lightning bolt). Basically just follow the hallway around to the door on the other side. That leads to another valley where enemy MCAs are being airlifted in your way. Blow them up and the tanks that guard the SW entrance.
At the other end of the valley you reach your goal, the SW entrance. Go through it to proceed to the next level.
