Single-Player

Shogo Paint

One of the cool things about Shogo is that bullets leave marks on the walls. This has led many a budding Rembrandt to try their hands at creating artwork with the marks. Shogo Paint adds the ability to add a single (or random) color to the marks, giving more room to show your artistic side. There's even a new map with a nice white wall for you to use as your canvas.

Squeaky Toy MOD

This mod transforms the Squeaky Toy from a silly novelty into a hand grenade. I'm not sure if this was ever updated to work with Shogo 2.2.

Multiplayer

The following mods have not been updated from Shogo 2.1 to 2.2. Here's hoping they'll get done: Smear the Queer, and Sticks and Stones CTF.

BloodBath

BloodBath takes all the regular weapons in Shogo and soups them up, producing a fragfest you won't soon forget. For more information, see the BloodBath site or read my review of BloodBath 6.0.

Defending the Monolith

This is a teamplay mod much like capture-the-flag or Team Fortress. You have to destroy the other team's monolith before while defending your own from attack! For more information, see the Defending the Monolith site or read my review of Defending the Monolith beta .95, or my review of Defending the Monolith v2.0.

Macross TC

This total conversion attempts to bring the Macross anime universe to Shogo. The plan is rather ambitious, including all new models for 16 MCAs, 30 new weapons, flying and space combat, four new gameplay modes, and all new levels.

Man vs. Mecha (aka Squishie)

Wraith (my personal hero) is busy trying to come up with a Shogo 2.2 version of Squishie. In this mod, on-foot soldiers take on giant MCA. For the soldiers (Squishies) to be successful, teamwork is vital. It's only beta right now, but it will give you a good taste of the utter wonderfulness that is Squishie.

TOW Arena

If you're familiar with Quake II's Rocket Arena, you know the drill. Two combatents enter the arena, only one comes out. The others can watch the action and wait for their turn in line. For more information, see the TOW Arena site or read my review of TOW Arena 2.0.

Installing and Using Mods

Just put the .REZ file in your CUSTOM folder under your SHOGO folder (e.g. in C:\Shogo\Custom). Then when you want to use the mod, click on the "Customize" button on the Shogo launcher and add the appropriate REZ file. Then load up Shogo or log on to your favorite server and frag away!
